Cancer Screening

Oral cancer is a devastating, and possibly deadly form of cancer that is often detected after significant progression.  It is important to know 25% of all oral cancer cases are non-smokers, non-drinkers, and have no other lifestyle risks*  Patients that smoke and drink alcoholic beverages are at a higher risk of having oral cancer.  As with all cancer, early detection is the KEY to a healthy prognosis.  With the use of Vizilite Plus oral cancer screening system, we are able to identify, evaluate, monitor, and mark abnormal oral areas of the mouth that may be difficult to see in a regular visual exam.  The VizaLite Plus system is quick and simple to use, it offers small and disposable devices, and it generates immediate detection results.
We highly recommend an annual oral cancer screening on all adults in the following areas:

• 25 years of age or older
• Use tobacco products or have used tobacco products in their history
• Drink alcoholic beverages: one or more drink per day
• Have been previously diagnosed with any other form(s) of cancer
